Introduction to Kundalini Yoga
Next Monday in our 7PM class period I'll be offering Introduction to Kundalini Yoga. In this class I'll be introducing a few core concepts and techniques and we'll experience a couple of Kundalini Yoga kriyas and mediations.  If there is interest I plan to continue this as a once a month class and will try to give people enough material so that they can take some practices home to work with between classes.  These classes are open to anyone, and they are free to local dues paying members of the Lodge, a$7 donation to the Lodge is asked for everyone else.  Kundalini Yoga is easily adaptable to everyone's level, so even if you have never done any yoga before you will enjoy its benefits. More advanced yogis will be able to easily push the challenges to their own level.

Things to Bring:::

  • A yoga mat - you will definitely need this as the hard wood floor is hard
  • Bring or wear comfortable exercise or yoga clothes.  Sweats and a T are fine.
  • Water - you will get thirsty. You can buy water at the coffee shop if you forget.
  • Cushion to sit on. (optional) We spend a lot of time sitting cross legged on the floor.
  • Light blanket. Virtually every Kundalini Yoga class includes a period of deep relaxation. It's nice to be able to cover up a little to keep warm.
I should mention that I'm a KRI certified instructor and teach each Wednesday night at the Center For Happiness yoga center in Minneapolis.  So if you have any questions feel free to drop me a note,or see my web site dedicated to my work with Kundalini Yoga

Enochian Magic Class
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

Just reminder that this monday at 7pm will be the start of the monthly Enochian Magic class at Leaping Laughter. The class is free for dues paying members and $7 for non-members.

I would like to invite everybody who is interested in this topic to attend, both beginners and advanced are welcome. I've been practicing Enochian Magic for about 4 years now and I get a greater respect for the system every time I work with it and I hope I can shall some of this experience with you. The class format will be half lecture and half discussion.

The lectures will focus on the core material, with an emphasis on source materials found in John Dee's diaries, along with select topics from Liber 418 "The Vision and the Voice". This first class will cover the lifes of John Dee and Edward Kelly and how this system came into being. We will also look into how the system of Enochian Magic progressed after it left their hands.

The discussions will focus on the practical applications of this system. We will discuss the various methods of use with an aim of the student being able to perform the invocations and receive results similar to those found in Liber 418. Students will be encouraged to perform the work outside of class and bring the results back to class for discussion (strictly voluntary). This first class will cover the 19th call, the call of the aethyrs, which will be given in in the notes packet for this class.

If you can't make it to this class or can't attend the monday classes in general, but would still really like to attend, please contact me off list. There is a possibility that we can setup classes on saturday's before mass, sunday or one time classes on another weekday night.

Love is the Law, Love under Will.

My Idea Of Video Entertainment..
93
This is an idea of what I like as for entertainment:
The "Scary Movie Series" all but..pt. 4 is kind of questionable though..I missed "Ray Ray"..
National Lampoons Christmas Vacation,One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest,
The Stand, Super Troopers, The Green Mile,..etc
Everything on "Court TV"..Family Guy,
American Dad,Simpsons, CSI(not Miami!)
Old Star Trek, South Park, Anything on Animal
Planet, I also like the show "Haunted"
on Discovery Channel on Thursday nights. Anything Biography!

I guess I will add that to my live journal.
LOL.

At last some me time!
93
Hi all,
I finally have some me time to get on the computer
without interruption's. How to you like this cold weather..brrr. Here in WI. we have a wind chill
of -30 below or so. I know MN. has been hit by this too.
I have been doing some more
reading in preparation for my visit..I can't wait! I want to have something to add to conversation after mass and so far reading is the base of my knowledge. I am familiar with the mass but my husband is not. He would like to attend also. Should I try to explain the mass to my husband (to best of my knowledge) or let it be? He is an Atheist and while he supports my choices he does not follow any type of teachings.
Any reading suggestion would be appreciated for today also.
Keep warm !

As far as buying a degree please explain..you lost me. If it is a short cut of some kind I would not be interested.

Thank You,

Maybe a Super 8 or something that is a chain. I will do some internet checking also. Well, it's time to get ready for work. I will keep reading and posting.

Introduction to Tina
93 Everyone!
My name is Tina and I live in C. Wisconsin.
Thank you for letting me join the LJ group.
I will be visiting the lodge in the spring
to join you in mass. It will take a bit of planning because it will have to be an overnight
but this will give me a chance to visit
Mall Of America..LOL. Is there a mod. priced
hotel/motel very near the lodge? (and Mall Of America..lol)
As far as my interests..right now they are very
focused on my will and learning as much as I can
on my own..I am just reading as much
as I can. Wisconsin seems to have a lack of
Thelemites. I am looking forward to getting to
know everyone. I will go to my LJ this weekend
and tell you more about me..right now I need
some sleep..long day at work.

A brief intro..I will say that
I did accept the Book Of Law about 2 years ago.
I am a CS agent for a huge sportsware co.
We also own rental units (duplex's)and my
husband works for a small co.
My idea of fun is our back yard in the summer.
We have a pool..and I have my party lights strung
up around the fence so we can night swim after
sitting around the fire pit..the real reason for the lights are so we can rescue the drunks in the pool..LOL
I love to laugh..as I see you guy's do also.
Well..that's it. I have to be up at 3AM to work
tomorrow (just till noon) then I can work on
my journal..you get the idea(smile).

Qabalah classes @ LLL
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law

Here's what the schedule looks like for first three months of the
upcoming Qabalah classes. It will be on Mondays starting at 7pm
(classes will be between an hour and an hour and a half) and will be
held at Leaping Laughter Lodge in Minneapolis.

1/16 Beginner's class
1/23 "
1/30 "
2/6 "
2/13 Four Qabalistic Worlds
2/20 Beginner's class
2/27 Qabalistic Soul
3/6 Beginner's class
3/13 Talismans
3/20 Beginner's class
3/27 Gods, Angels, and Demons

As yoo can see, after the first 4 classes, every other week will be a
Beginner's class to prevent people from being left behind.

It is STRONGLY RECCOMENDED that after completing the Beginner's
classes, students continue on to the next two classes (basicly
everything in January and February). Each of the classes after that
deal with advanced subjects which the student need not attend if not
interested in that week's subject.

Students should come with a notebook, a writing utencil, a copy of
"777 and Other Qabalistic Writings of Aleister Crowley," and any
standard 78 card tarot deck (Thoth deck preferred).

First Gnostic Mass in our New Temple Space!
Just a reminder to everyone, tonight we'll be holding our first ever Gnostic Mass in the new Temple space, so come on over and check it out. We've been working hard and the space is looking great!

Mass begin at 7PM so plan on arriving a half hour early.

The location is 1618 Central Ave NE Minneapolis. If you haven't been to the suite yet, look for familiar faces in the area behind Diamonds Coffee Shoppee.

Please remember that everyone is welcome whether or not you answered the RSVP. Also the seating is in place and there is room for everyone so there should be no need to bring chairs or cushions unless you want to sit on the floor.

Hope to see you there!

Dedicated Space Kick off!
Dear members, friends and associates of Leaping Laughter Oasis,

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

Today the last piece fell into place and we were issued a general liability
insurance policy to cover our use of the dedicated space. So, tomorrow it
becomes official, and the lease will be signed and we will be handed the keys
to our new dedicated space effective August 1st!

Sister Sheri has agreed to take on the responsibility of transition project
manager, and is laying out a three phase plan, each of approximately one month
in duration, which will help us make the transition into full operation
smoothly and effectively.

I would like to invite all Oasis members on this list to a kick off meeting this
coming Sunday at 1PM to be held at Diamonds Coffee Shoppe, 1618 Central Ave NE
Minneapolis, MN 55413. There we will explain more details of the plan, some
key milestones and tasks, and provide an opportunity for people to begin
signing up for roles and responsibilities. If you cannot make it on Sunday, I
will be sending out updates and making sure that there are ample opportunities
for people to get involved and stay informed.

* Two dates for your Calendars
Moving day is Saturday August 6th. A second key milestone for your calendars is
for our first Mass at the new space to take place on Saturday September 3rd.

* Sunday Classes
Effective immediately we will not be using Triune on Sundays. For the time
being Sunday Tai Chi classes will continue at my place if there is interest,
contact me privately.

* Saturday July 16th
Our last scheduled event at Triune will be the Degree Work we have scheduled on
Saturday July 16th. Those candidates who are now scheduled to take initiation
on July 16th, I would like to offer you the opportunity to delay your
initiation date until we begin doing them in the new space. This could mean a
delay until as late as October, however it would allow you to be among the
first initiations that would take place in the new space. Please contact me
one way or the other to confirm your intentions and we will honor them. If all
three express a desire to wait we will cancel the July 16th event and save
ourselves 200 dollars.

I am very excited about the new opportunities and challenges ahead of us. I am
more committed than ever to listening to your ideas and feedback, and
especially to work with you on your ideas on how we will use this space. It is
my goal to provide frequent feedback as we go through all phases of this
transition, and in turn I would ask each of you to communicate your ideas and
suggestions to me so that they can be included in the plan.

Love is the law, love under will.

Gnostic Mass this Weekend
Hello Leaping Laughter Live Journal!

93
It's Courie requesting assistance and presence from the local body for what could possibly be our last Mass at Triune (you never know...). We're seeking children and communicants. I know there's a con this weekend, but please realize the importance of attending the Masses, I got word that last Mass had more people in the team than for communication.
Let's put an abrupt end to this.
This weekend is a perfect opportunity for people to come to thier first Mass, even if they're going to con (bring people back with you!). The important part of that is we're starting at 7 pm so you can get back to yr hotel parties, etc. by the time people start to show. I bet people could get back to thier plans by 9pm. Seeing as we intend on starting promptly at 7pm. There is also a flier being passed about, we're hoping to procure a few more that way.

If yr interested in childing you can email me or leave a comment, also if yr going to attend let us know, for cakes and wine purposes. Thanks all, have a great weekend and be safe!
